About
Relatively new to international cricket, Dilshan Madushanka made his T20I debut in August 2022 against Afghanistan in Dubai. A left-arm pacer with the ability to swing the ball during the powerplay, Madushanka had a modest start but quickly made an impact, picking up six wickets in the three T20Is following his debut.
He made his ODI debut in January 2023 and played a key role in Sri Lanka’s successful ICC World Cup Qualifiers campaign. The left-arm speedster claimed three wickets each against Zimbabwe and the Netherlands, helping his team secure a spot in the 2023 ODI World Cup.
With the tournament set in India, all eyes will be on Madushanka to see if he can exploit the conditions, trouble batsmen with the new ball, and deliver crucial breakthroughs in the powerplay.
